Artist Inspiration: “Mount Edith was named in 1886. It is located in the Bow River Valley of Banff National Park and is included the Sawback Range. This impressive mountain can be seen from Corey Pass when hiking in Banff. Working in a minimal abstracted form I use limited marks to define the mountain, the white shapes echoing the snowy cover that graces its face most of the year. Three peaks are framed by the bright red contour lines, popping the silhouette of Mount Edith into the forefront.”
Medium: Acrylic, Mixed Media, Enamel and Latex
Additional comments: This painting is finished off with a glossy resin topcoat.
